Training Officer- Deputy Chief, Tanner Murray

Training Room

Starting in early 2017, the Tarentum Eagles Ladies Auxiliary took on a project to help local fire departments train firefighters both new and experienced. The Ladies Auxiliary teamed up with Citizens Hose to start working on the project. A large storage room at Citizens Hose was cleaned out and work started on a one of kind training room for the AK-Valley. The room was transformed by local contractor Jamie Berdar (also a fireman w/ Lower Burrell #3) from a storage room for old equipment to a 3 story maze with many different obstacles and props that can be changed each time a firefighter goes through. With this versatility, the room can be used for many different scenarios and classes. Citizens Hose has cross-trained with numerous departments so far and look forward to hosting more classes in the future.

Thank you to the Tarentum Eagles Ladies Auxiliary for all the hard work they have done raising money to be able to make this a reality!!!
