Back to Back MVAs on Route 28

5/13- At 0611, units were dispatched to Route 28 Southbound for a vehicle accident with unknown injures. While Medic 114 was enroute they were requested to expedite with 1 pt with a serious neck laceration and possibly still entrapped. 167 Rescue 1 arrived on scene to find 2 vehicles, heavy damage with negative entrapment. The rescue crew assisted with pt extrication and hazard control.Medic 114 and Medic 111 transported patients to local hospitals. Pennsylvania state police requested Rt 28 be shut down for their investagation. 167 crews directed traffic until around 0930.

At 0927, Units were dispatched to Route 28 Southbound for a vehicle accident with unknown extent of injurys. 167 crews cleared the first call and responded along with 167 Rescue-Engine. 167 Assistant arrived on scene reporting 3 Vehicles, entrapment in 1. Rescue-Engine along with rescue 1 and Medic 114 and Ambulance 111 arrived on scene. Rescue 1 was requested to the  first vehicle and rescue-engine was requested to the second vehicle with entrapment. Crews extricated out of both vehicles and patients were transport by Citizens, Freeport, and Eureka.
