Physical Rescue

7/5/12- At 1325, Units were dispatched for a male along the river bank with a broken leg. 167 Rescue chief immediately went enroute to the scene. Pd stated that the best access would be from Pulaski Dr. 167 Rescue Chief arrived on scene stated that there was a cliff to get to the patient and requested the boat be launched from the Freeport launch. 167 Squad and boat went enroute to the launch and 167 Rescue 2 went enroute to Pulaski drive. The pt was packaged and loaded onto one of the members boats along with the medics. The pt was then taken to the shore and was transported to the hospital. This was the first call for the new boat.

While enroute to the rescue detail, 169,167, and 110 Ems were alerted for a vehicle accident in front of the Wal-Mart on Freeport Road. Ambulance 113 went enroute and crewed with 270(AK Pulsar). 169 Rescue(Harrison Hills) arrived on scene and cleaned up hazards on the roadway while 113 and 273 handled patient care. All units cleared shortly.
